About

I've been a photographer for over 10 years. I first remember borrowing my Dad's compact camera to take photographs of my friends jumping their bikes in the woods, and the moment I got a mid-air action shot, I was hooked. I went through my teens obsessed with cameras and photography, spent years working at a local camera shop where I built a local clientele who kept coming back to ask the advise of a 16 year old on which lens to try next.

In college I developed an interest in film, experimenting with everything from medium format to cross processing, and while my photography has never been 'artistic' when compared to what one might see in modern art galleries, in college is where I narrowed down my style - a focus on the technical, pleasing compositions and a representation of the mood at a location.

Landscape photography is where my passion lies - the ever changing conditions, the discipline and dedication required despite the fact you may not even get a shot, and being out in nature in all her glory with a purpose other than just the experience.

I've experience in many forms of commercial photography, shooting property, food, portraits, events, weddings, animals, and having my work hung in private galleries.

I do, however, want to express what I truly love about photography - there's always more to learn and discover.
